Alex and Liz decided long ago that The Olive House in Montagu would be the fitting venue for their intimate wedding.
The Olive House is a pretty venue and with ample accommodation available for guests it was a good choice.
The date was set for the 23rd December 2011 and the weather was ordered to be perfect.
I have a house in Heidelberg, Western Cape, just over Tradouws pass en route to Barrydale from Montagu along the famous R62 so I happily accepted the job as it allowed me to holiday at the same time.
The ceremony took place in the garden behind The Olive House where Elizabeth and her mom good quite easily have put most wedding planners to shame, it was that stunning, with so many little details that added to the whole feel of an intimate country wedding.
For the formal wedding photography photos we headed to the hole in the wall, an old British fort I think, at the start of Montagu where we dodged festive drivers and large transport lorries to take the creative wedding photos Liz had envisioned.
The wedding was a huge success and both Alex and Elizabeth were thrilled with their wedding photos.
